Presented here for the first time online in a 25th Anniversary Edition: Digitally remastered in glorious standard-definition from it’s original Hi8 masters, including the heavily copyright-infringing soundtrack, featuring songs inspired by the films of Paul Thomas Anderson & Martin Scorsese.

Produced in 1999 in Santa Barbara, CA as a mock-documentary short film for the San Marcos High School Mr. Royal Pageant, “Tubby: One Boy’s Dream” was written, directed, and stars Ryan Delk as a young man who discovers a beached whale and become’s obsessed with paying tribute to his fallen friend “Tubby” through an interpretive dance, performed exclusively at the 1999 high school talent show, for which he won the prestigious 2nd Place prize (thanks for nothing Rob Lowe).

Later, the short film was used as part of Delk’s New York University, Tisch School of the Arts application, from which he graduated with a BFA in 2005. He now works as a successful freelance film editor in Los Angeles, but will never forget his lost friend “Tubby”.
